OUR PROMISE TO YOU

A couple of years later, in 2011, we exchanged vows in a beautiful, classic NYC wedding. Unfortunately, our photography experience was anything but extraordinary. We received little to no direction on the day of our wedding—and as a result, we walked away with just a handful of candid photos, detail shots, and images that showcased the joy and beauty of the day we’d poured so much of ourselves into planning. Wedding photography is a unique artform, and our experience was a wake-up call to the importance of choosing the right person for such an important occasion.

Soon after our own “I do,” Luis accepted a friend’s request to document his wedding, with Michelle serving as an assistant. Almost immediately, we knew we’d found the right joint path—and set out to gift couples with the tailored experience and exceptional content we wished we’d received ourselves.

TWO BECOME ONE

Luis has always loved capturing moments, places, and things; many of his dearest childhood memories include playing with his mother’s old film camera. In college, he decided to get serious about his photography hobby—and about a (beautiful, incredibly talented) girl named Michelle he’d been dating. One day, while editing photos for a class assignment in a New York City coffee shop, he was approached by an editor who later offered him a position at a magazine. Work for various fashion publications, shoots with the New York Post, and days spent documenting life, fashion, and music events all over NYC soon followed.
